3D Special Effects Rigging and Dynamics Made Easy
LightWave's Automation and Dynamics Capabilities are the focus of new DVD Training Release
BURBANK, Calif. - Dec. 13, 2005 - Desktop Images, a leading provider of training DVDs for the digital content creation market, today announces the availability of two new "Visual FX Series" instructional DVDs entitled "Technical Direction" and "Dynamics and Detail". The two new DVDs offer a virtual classroom experience, providing step-by-step visual instruction that focuses on technical direction skills for model rigging, secondary animation and the application of real world dynamics to a scene.
Technical Direction (DI2109) explores model rigging techniques that enable objects to react automatically to actions and movement within a scene. Expressions, Soft FX and Follower are just a few LightWave tools explored. A Zero fighter model is the subject for demonstrating a variety of techniques for anticipatory animation of control surface flaps, synchronized movement of landing gear, tire dynamics and reactive wheel rotation all with accuracy and controllability.
Dynamics & Detail (DI2110) uses a pre-animated attack sequence to apply dynamics within a scene. Particle explosions, flying debris and snapping cables are animated with the use of Particle Dynamics, HardFX, SoftFX, Metalink, Wind and Collision Effectors. Techniques are demonstrated for applying density and weight to objects that react accurately to friction and gravity attributes for real world dynamic effects.
This release adds to The Visual FX Series which includes "3D Effects Compositing" (DI2107) and "Set Extensions" (DI2108) all together offering over six hours of instruction on Visual Effects production for Film, Television Commercial and Music Video production.
